@dany.alvy: "This is a spectacular debut from a 19 year old author and it read as a seasoned professional. I didn't even know that it was a debut or a young author until I was 50% in and went to go add the book to my wishlist on Amazon ... I would have never guessed in a million years and I have a feeling this will be one of my top reads of 2023! The banter between Anya and Dax had me literally grinning the entire book. I didn't even realize I knew how to grin, but from the moment they met, I couldn't stop. They could be having a near death experience and I was still sitting there with this stupid smile plastered to my face like the Cheshire Cat. The situation didn't matter at all, I fell hard for them and I need more desperately! I can't wait for the next book!"
@that_bookaholic_gal: "I am absolutely shocked that this is a debut. The writing was captivating, the characters were so well developed. The quest/adventure was so entertaining and the chemistry between Anya and Dax was perfection. I can't believe I was reading a debut, because friends, this is the start of such a good series! I can't wait to see where this series goes, because I have a feeling it's going to be fantastic. If you're looking for a new YA fantasy series to pick up with the quest/adventure trope, a sparking romance, and a lot of danger ... then I highly recommend this book!"
@BayeringWithFreshmen: "I read the entire wonderful thing in one sitting last night. All 374 pages. I really, totally, thoroughly enjoyed this!  ... this felt like a "Spacey Crooked Kingdom mixed with Defy the Night and a touch of The Titanic" ... I loved it. I think if you also enjoy creative worlds that are high action but nothing overly complex, you should put this on your radar ... VERY impatiently awaiting Book Two."
@joannasbookshelf: "Are you looking for a killer debut? LOOK NO FURTHER! Stars and Swashbucklers is a fantastic start to what is sure to be a captivating fantasy/sci fi series. ... I’m usually a bit hesitant when it comes to fantasy novels, especially long books. I worry that too much of the book will be about world building and character development rather than the plot. Lilah has a way of interweaving the plot with all of the character and world building and I loved the overall flow of the story."
@pastbookish: This book was a wild ride. I had so much fun reading this. The adventure and thrill got me so excited to finish the book quickly! This definitely reminded me of the movie Uncharted meets Lara Croft with a little dash of Shadow and Bone & it was everything you'd want and need in a book 👏👏 i am so happy i was given the opportunity to read this book in advance because it was such a great read! It felt like i was on an adventure with Anya. 🤩
